      Hi there Harshiv!

Thanks for your question, it’s a great one! It can feel a bit strange at first to self-promote.
Once you do it a few times, you’ll find something that works for you.

Start by reading up on the station and listening to it for a while. When you write your email, start with a sentence that makes it clear that you’ve done that.

For example: “Hi X, I’ve been listening to your show [name of the show] and I love [DJ name]’s selections! I’ve been a collector of [music genre] myself for s few years, it’s nice to hear some rare selections.” Tell the station or DJ what you like about them.

And then introduce yourself, do it in a natural way. Something like “I’ve been producing music for X years now, and I really thought it’d fit with your program because [reason].”

Use your own words, your own voice and style. A good trick is to read it out loud to check if it makes sense! And then to avoid the “bruh check my soundcloud”, just leave a link to your Soundcloud at the bottom of the message (hyperlink it).

Hope this helps! If you have another question don’t hesitate to ask. Good luck :)
